Scholarship Programs

“The Fry Family Foundation Leadership Awards go beyond just being a scholarship program. They celebrate and encourage the development of leadership qualities that can be applied at home in our communities, at work and in our classrooms – qualities that we see every day among our students, sometimes even in the smallest but most significant ways.”
Glenn Blackwood, Vice-President, Memorial University (Marine Institute)

The Fry Family Foundation has placed a great focus on developing leaders and is
proud to fund a number of scholarships which help youth attain their post-secondary education in Newfoundland and Labrador. In 2015, the number of scholarships granted by the Foundation within  the province surpassed the 1,000 mark. Currently, FFF annually awards over 60 scholarships to students at Memorial University, Marine Institute, College of the North Atlantic and the five St. John's Community Centres. Through an application process, students must demonstrate outstanding leadership throughout the course of their program, through academic work, professional work placements and community involvement. Students interested in applying for a Scholarship should contact the school or community centre organization directly for guidelines and application information.
