Agnes Pratt Home Foundation
The Agnes Pratt Home is a Long Term Care Facility located in St. John's, that has been providing a high level of care for over 60 years..For over 15 years, Fry Family Foundation has provided financial assistance to make infrastructure improvements to several dementia units at the Home. The “Change of Face” project supports the renovation and modernization of the Home’s resident units to better meet the more complex needs of today’s residents. Three phases of work have been completed on the Stella Burry Unit, Pratt Place and Fairhaven Place. Read about these first phases in Agnes Pratt Home looks for help.
In 2018, in recognition of the Foundation's support of the Agnes Pratt Home, the garden outside the Fairhaven unit was dedicated and named 'The Fry Family Garden'. This Garden provides a secure outdoor area for residents to relax and socialize. Starting in 2022, the Foundation committed to providing funds annually to assist in the upkeep of the Garden.
In 2019, the Foundation extended their Fund Match for $50,000 to the Agnes Pratt Home Foundation. This is the second Fund Match provided by the Fry Family towards Phase 4 of this project. The funds were allocated to the fundraising campaign "Change of Face - Phase 4" for renovation of the Southview Unit. We are sincerely grateful for the relationship we have had with the Fry Family over the past 15 years. The financial support has enabled us to improve the overall homelike atmosphere for our residents! As well, the support, advice and encouragement has allowed us to grow and continue our work. Over the pandemic years, we were limited in our activities. We now look forward to continuing our efforts for our Phase 4 Southview renovation through community support from organizations, such as yours! Our gardens will be beautiful each year because of your kind annual donation!
