Darryl Fry inducted into the Order of Newfoundland [January 2019]
The Order of Newfoundland and Labrador (ONL) is the highest honour of the province. The object of the order is to recognize individuals who have demonstrated excellence and achievement in any field of endeavour benefiting in an outstanding manner Newfoundland and Labrador and its residents. The ONL was approved by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2003 and is part of the Official Honours System of Canada. The first ONL investiture took place in 2004.
Darryl Fry also received an honorary doctorate from Memorial University in 1997 and was named as a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Junior Achievement Hall of Fame in 2012. |
