Ayman Islam was presented with the FFF J.M.C. Facey Engineering Scholarship at the MUN Engineering and Applied Science Fall 2021 Awards Ceremony​. Ayman graduated from Gonzaga High School in St. John’s and is a first year MUN student currently studying engineering. Ayman excels in the areas of mathematics and physics. He has spent two summers working with the Newfoundland based tech company Verafin, and wishes to pursue a career in electrical engineering. Outside of school, Ayman loves to play sports. He has been playing provincial level soccer since the age of 13, and played on his high school soccer, basketball, and rugby teams.
