Past Community Partnerships - NL
In 2008, Fry Family Foundation provided funds to Bridges to Hope Food Aid Centre, to help with an expansion of their building on Cookstown Road in St. John's, NL. The FFF funds went towards improving the Centre's pantry service, a new toy lending library, and a community kitchen. Bridges to Hope are committed to reducing the effects of poverty on individuals and families through access to essential food, and other programs that help empower their clients.
In 2020 the Bridges to Hope Food Pantry provided food aid to over 8,000 people. Their Community Kitchen is used to make fresh homemade bread for clients, and they also make soups, stews, and roasted chicken. It is also used as a learning classroom which serves youth, young adults, adults and seniors from many walks of life. We are proud to have provided support to this program which has been feeding neighbours for over 30 years. |
