Fry Family Foundation was honoured to attend the inaugural Alumni Acclaim Awards where College of the North Atlantic (CNA) alumni were celebrated for their outstanding achievements and enduring contributions. Congratulations to the four recipients of the Awards! We were particularly proud to see the Young Alumni Award presented to Rachel Winsor. Rachel received a 2021-22 FFF Leadership Achievement Award at CNA and is a member of the FFF Alumni Network.
Rachel graduated from both the Welding Program and the Executive Office Management Program at CNA. As a Client Care Coordinator at CareGivers NL, she ensures client well-being. Through volunteerism, she strives to better her community. At present, she is a board member of Burin Peninsula Brighter Futures, advocating for the healthy development of young children. She has also served as President of the CNA Online Student Council. Among her many honors, she also received two CNA Faculty and Staff Achievement Awards, and the distinguished Newfoundland and Labrador Student Volunteer Award. Rachel was also the first female in Canada to be awarded the national Joseph G. Doria Exemplary Student Award from the CWB Welding Foundation. She lives in the Town of St. Lawrence.
