Glovertown Diamond Dash
The annual Diamond Dash cross-country race took place on the trails of Glovertown's Ken Diamond Memorial Park from 2008-2017 and attracted runners, walkers, and photographers from Glovertown and beyond. Sponsored by the Town of Glovertown and The Fry Family Foundation, events included the 250M or 500M “Small Fry Runs”, and the 1.8K, 3.8K, or 5.4K distances for older runners. There was also a non-competitive group walk just prior to the races. The race was initiated to promote good health and exercise. In addition, FFF contributed $20 for each person crossing the finish line. In 2012, 207 participants took part and the proceeds went toward the cost of gym equipment for the local school. We are proud to have provided support to this project for 10 years.
