Fry Family Foundation Charlotte Penwell Dolimount Memorial Scholarship, 2019
I received this scholarship during my first semester at Memorial University. At the time, I was in the Faculty of Science and was unsure what area of study I wanted to major in. After considering different options, I decided to complete a Bachelor of Kinesiology in the School of Human Kinetics and Recreation at Memorial University. I am currently beginning my third year of a Bachelor of Kinesiology with a minor in psychology. My goal for the future is to apply to the Faculty of Medicine and become a Doctor of Medicine. I am passionate about helping others and am optimistic I could be an impactful member of society as a Doctor of Medicine.
Receiving the Charlotte Penwell Dolimount Memorial Scholarship was an excellent way to begin my university journey. The scholarship helped pay for my tuition, increased my academic motivation, and allowed me to reflect on the importance of a strong work ethic. Receiving the scholarship during my first semester made me increasingly determined to strive for my goals and made me believe that I was capable of achieving them.
I am very thankful that I received the Charlotte Penwell Dolimount Memorial Scholarship. I greatly appreciate the Fry Family Foundation for the positive impacts you continue to make on students like me.
