Award Spotlight: Leadership Acknowledgement of Excellence
The Fry Family Leadership Acknowledgement of Excellence Award is presented at the Nautical Skills Competition. This year's recipient is Christopher Rafuse, a 3rd year student in Nautical Science. Even though his team did not win the event, the guidance he provided to his team members and the demonstration of leadership capacity across the complex tasks and challenges, highlighted him to the judges as being not only eligible but deserving of this special acknowledgement. This is the only individual award that is presented at the competition. This award is part of our FFF Student Leadership Initiative with Marine Institute.
