YWCA Northern New Jersey healingSPACE

For over a century, YWCA Northern New Jersey has been on the forefront of the fight against gender and racial discrimination. Bergen County’s only Sexual Violence Resource Center—is a safe and welcoming place for survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones. Trained advocates provide individual counseling, facilitate support groups, and accompany survivors through medical, legal, and other proceedings associated with sexual violence.

Fry Family Foundation provides support for this organization in honor of retired Cytec employee Pam Averso.  Recently, Pam was recognized with the first annual Pamela Averso award by healingSPACE.  This award was and will be given to individuals “in recognition of her (his) generous acts that go above and beyond expectations, showcasing selflessness that inspires and up lifts those around them”.   Starting in 2023, FFF has made a 5-year commitment to support this program through an annual donation.
