Our CCA Alumni
Fry Family Foundation's support of the Community Centre Alliance (CCA) began in 2006 and we will be celebrating 20 years of partnership in 2025-26! The CCA is committed to assisting community members in their pursuit of obtaining post-secondary education. Since the partnership with FFF began, over 350 scholarships have been awarded to CCA youth living in their five partnering St. John's neighbourhoods (Froude Avenue, Buckmaster’s Circle, McSheffrey, Rabbittown and Virginia Park). The program began with annual scholarships but in 2020, post-secondary CCA scholarships became renewable.
Throughout 2025–2026, we will reflect on our past and celebrate our present. We are collecting alumni profiles and quotes for our 20th year! Below are some stories and quotes submitted by alumni of this scholarship program.
