Board of Trustees
We’re delighted to announce the appointment of two new Trustees to our Fry Family Foundation Board – Diana and Jim Cronin. Diana will fill the role of Secretary while Jim will be Treasurer.

Jim Cronin - Biography

Jim was born in Jersey City, NJ and is a graduate of Fairfield University with a BS in accounting and is a CPA (retired).  He began his career working for an international accounting firm before joining American Cyanamid Company in 1983. In 1993, he was a major participant working with Darryl Fry in the creation and spin off Cytec Industries Inc as a separate NYSE listed company and became Cytec’s first Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In 1996, he was promoted to Executive Vice President. After retiring from Cytec in 2007, he assisted Diana at her firm as well as did consulting work on financial matters, but mostly enjoyed coaching girls basketball and retirement.

Diana Cronin - Biography

Diana was born on Long Island, NY and is a graduate of the College of St. Elizabeth with a BS in Business Administration and is a CPA in New Jersey and Florida. She began her career with Arthur Andersen & Co. and became the first woman tax partner in the history of the New York Metro region.  In 1997, she left Andersen to begin her own firm.  After significant growth of the firm, she added two partners and subsequently retired from the firm of Cronin, Hanley & VanZile in 2021.   She is enjoying retirement in Florida.
