Robyn Grandy
Fry Family Foundation Hugh J. Anderson Chemistry Scholarship, 2023

Robyn Grandy  is a third-year student currently completing a Bachelor of Science with a major in Chemistry and minor in Biochemistry. Her goal upon completion of this degree is to attend Medical School. Robyn graduated from Marystown Central High School with honours and was the valedictorian of the class of 2021. Her hometown is Garnish, located on the Burin Peninsula of Newfoundland. She became particularly interested in Chemistry in high school and knew it was a subject that she wanted to pursue further. Outside of school, Robyn enjoys reading, painting, and going for walks. She has also received the Memorial University of Newfoundland Endowment Fund Scholarship 2021-22, Dr. Howard Louise White Memorial Award in Chemistry 2022-23, the Dr. June G. Winter Memorial Scholarship 2022-23, the Dean of Science Book Prize (Chemistry) 2022-23, and has been named to the Faculty of Science Dean’s List for  two years of study. Robyn hopes to soon declare her degree as an honours degree and gain more research experience.
