Salvation Army - Clean Water Project in Zimbabwe
In 2012, The Salvation Army in St. John’s established the Helping Hands – Zimbabwe Water project. A team of 16 volunteers travelled to Tshelanyemba to work on the hospital’s water system and to provide medical support. The group installed a water supply line to the hospital from a nearby river bed, replaced much of the existing distribution piping and repaired much of the existing leaks. These upgrades were needed to ensure the hospital had access to clean water. Fry Family Foundation is proud to have provided financial support to this project.
