Samantha Pomroy
Fry Family Foundation Junior Leadership Award, 2008

The Fry Family Foundation provided me with an opportunity to explore the field of leadership when I was an early teen. I am confident that without the opportunity to attend the LEAP conference through the Horizons program, I would not have started on my journey to a career that requires a significant amount of self-determination and leadership. 

I am happy to say I am now a newly-minted family doctor practicing in rural Newfoundland, in part due to my experience with the Horizons program through the Fry Family Foundation.
