Fry Family Foundation CNA Leadership Achievement Awards
These Leadership Achievement Awards reward students who are making a significant positive impact in their communities. They recognize students who continue to deliver upon high academic standards and demonstrate continuous improvement in their leadership abilities. These students are vital to the future success of the communities and regions where they live and work. In further enhancing leadership skills, students are better equipped to help ensure the province’s economic sustainability across all regions of NL. In total, FFF will grant 36 Awards annually to CNA students enrolled in programs at the 17 campuses and through Distributed Learning.

​Award Spotlight - President's Excellence in Leadership Achievement 

This year's recipient of the  FFF President's Excellence in Leadership Achievement Award is Allison Seward. This prestigious award recognizes the student who has best demonstrated high academic achievement coupled with exceptional  leadership ability. It is given to a student in the final year of  a full-time certificate or diploma program who demonstrates a strong commitment to the province through volunteerism.

Allison is graduating from the two-year Community Leadership Development program at CNA Carbonear Campus. She is an honour roll student who has served two years on the Student Council as Secretary and President. She has helped with many campus events including Bell Let’s Talk, providing free feminine hygiene products on campus, and many other student engagement events and discussions. Allison’s community involvement includes assisting in after school programs, organizing and participating in various events such as fundraisers or community activities held at the SPLASH Centre, community clean ups, demonstrations for affecting change, tutoring youth in numerous courses, and much more. Allison is always actively seeking to help her community when needed!

Award Spotlight - Leadership Achievement (In Progress)

There are 11 Leadership Achievement Awards given to a second or third year year student enrolled in the following programs: Business, Health Science, Information Technology and Applied Arts. Students must demonstrate academic excellence and be continuing or expanding their leadership and involvement throughout College.

Award Spotlight - Leadership Achievement ​(Entrance)

There are 18 Leadership Achievement Awards, including one per CNA campus and one for Distributed Learning. These Entrance Scholarships are awarded to a first-year, full-time student enrolled in any certificate or diploma level program. Recipients are selected based on academic excellence, community involvement and leadership.
