Scholarships
Fry Family Foundation is proud to fund a number of scholarships which help youth attain their post-secondary education. Glenn Blackwood, vice-president, Memorial University (Marine Institute) has said, “The Fry Family Foundation Leadership Awards go beyond just being a scholarship program. They celebrate and encourage the development of leadership qualities that can be applied at home in our communities, at work and in our classrooms – qualities that we see every day among our students, sometimes even in the smallest but most significant ways.”
Through an application process, students must demonstrate outstanding leadership throughout the course of their program, through academic work, professional work placements and community involvement. The Foundation has placed a great focus on developing leaders in NL where over 1000 scholarships have already been granted. Students interested in applying for a Scholarship should contact the school or community centre organization directly for guidelines and application information.
