Our MUN/MI Alumni
The Fry Family Foundation's support of Memorial University began in 1996 with the establishment of five endowed scholarships, each one named for an individual who was profoundly important to Darryl and Marlene Fry. Those first scholarships, recognizing and encouraging leadership in students, were just the beginning. While supporting student's demonstrated learning continues to be a priority through additional scholarships and awards, the Foundation's scope of giving has expanded to foster this development more broadly through community service and engagement, entrepreneurial activities and social enterprise support.
From Bonavista to Oxford, Labrador City to Carnegie Hall, this is a glimpse of how students and alumni who are the Fry Family legacy spread their joy and exceptional talents far and wide. In celebration of our 25 years as a Foundation, we are proud to share their stories of success and sincere thanks. We are grateful to the team at MUN's Office of Development for providing us with many of these stories. Learn more about the history of FFF scholarships and recipients at MUN.
